At Ledplastikcentrum, we have chosen to specialize exclusively in hip and knee replacements. Research supports the idea that a high degree of specialization leads to better outcomes for patients. Our orthopedic specialists are among the most experienced in the country, seeing the highest number of osteoarthritis patients annually.
Dr. Magnus Wadstein is a specialist in hip and knee replacements, including revision surgeries. He has a particular interest in organization and efficiency, with the goal of ensuring that the patient’s treatment journey is as smooth as possible.
Magnus earned his medical degree from Karolinska Institutet and has 13 years of experience in orthopedics at S:t Göran's Hospital and Ortopediska Huset. He has been responsible for scheduling and served on the management team at SGöran's Hospital, as well as pursued further education in healthcare leadership at SSE/SOF.
Dr. Wadstein serves as both the Medical Director and a practicing clinician.

Cyrus Ardalan
Orthopedic surgeon
Dr. Cyrus Ardalan has devoted 14 years to orthopedic surgery at S:t Göran's Hospital and Nacka Hospital. After an initial focus on spinal surgery, he chose to specialize in joint replacements. He has a particular interest in complex cases of knee osteoarthritis that may require more than a standard knee prosthesis, as well as performing knee replacement revisions. Cyrus earned his medical degree from Karolinska Institutet and has also been responsible for the bone grafting program at S:t Göran's Hospital.
Dr. Ardalan oversees the surgical department alongside his clinical work.

Hans Christian Hyldahl
Orthopedic surgeon, PhD
Dr. Hans Christian Hyldahl is one of Sweden’s most experienced orthopedic surgeons in joint replacement surgery, with an estimated 10,000 primary joint replacements and over 1,000 revision surgeries. With 33 years dedicated to orthopedics, particularly joint replacements, he has seen and done it all. He has also conducted research and earned a PhD on the topic of knee replacement fixation, and has been in charge of the hip section at S:t Göran's Hospital for many years.
At Ledplastikcentrum, Dr. Hyldahl provides the most senior clinical expertise and manages communication with other healthcare providers.

Dr. Per Björk has 12 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon at S:t Göran's Hospital and Artro Clinic. He specialized early in joint replacements but has also focused on arthroscopic knee surgery. Per particularly enjoys the challenges of complex hip replacements requiring meticulous preoperative planning and has also developed expertise in partial knee replacements.
He succeeded Hans Christian as head of the hip and knee section at S:t Göran in 2017, during which time he was also responsible for the bone grafting program.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Björk serves as the Chief Medical Officer.

Filip Olsson Arthur
Orthopedic Surgeon
Filip earned his medical degree from Uppsala University and has over 10 years of experience in orthopedics at Skaraborg Hospital, S:t Göran's Hospital, and Artro Clinic. He has been in charge of the orthopedic emergency department for several years and succeeded Per as head of the hip and knee section at S:t Göran's Hospital in 2020
Dr. Hans Lundberg specializes in hip and knee joint replacement surgery and possesses extensive orthopedic experience. With 22 years at S:t Göran's Hospital as a senior physician at the trauma department, he is one of Sweden’s most experienced fracture surgeons. In 2016, he was recruited to Wellington, New Zealand, for hip and knee replacements. He stayed there for 18 months, deepening his expertise in joint replacement, including gaining experience in robotic-assisted joint replacement

Dr. Jacob Simlund has 7 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon at S:t Göran's Hospital. He has a particular interest in hip and knee replacements but has also focused extensively on fracture surgery and has been responsible for the fracture manual used in the management and surgery of acute injuries. Jacob is passionate about planning and customizing implants through meticulous preoperative mapping
